Julie G Greensmith

Julie is a qualified and registered Clinical Hypnotherapist holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and membership with the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a two-way process between therapist and client. During hypnosis the client is neither asleep nor unconscious but is awake and in control. The hypnotic state has been likened to a daydream, where your mind temporarily drifts from one thing to another, but with a higher state of awareness. Clinical Hypnotherapists use hypnosis as an intervention for medical purposes and an aid to the resolution of many psychological problems.

Hypnosis does not claim to cure medical conditions which should always be discussed with your doctor. Hypnotherapy is often successful when other, more conventional methods of treatment have failed and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recognised hypnotherapy as a treatment for medical conditions.

Hypnotherapy is useful in

  • Breaking unwanted habits
  • Conquering your fears and emotional problems
  • Weight loss
  • Pain control
  • Build your confidence
